Where Craft Meets Courage

#KaabilHaiWoh

Rudhvay was born in the villages of Gujarat and built by the skilled hands of women who refused to let ancient craft die. Today, we create handcrafted apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products that honour Indian heritage — and the women who carry it forward.

This isn’t fast fashion.
This is slow, soulful, and meant to last.

The Founders’ Journey

Grassroots artisan training initiative

When co-founders Rashi Soni and Shaun Motashaw started Rudhvay, their goal was simple: to make Indian crafts visible, valuable, and viable. What began as a grassroots artisan training initiative has today grown into a sustained ecosystem that supports 200+ artisans across 10+ rural villages in Gujarat. By working closely with artisan communities, Rudhvay focuses on skill development, fair livelihoods, and long-term continuity of craft traditions.

Our vision was never just about products. It was about people — and about carrying age-old crafts forward by shaping them into contemporary forms that resonate with the younger generation.
Real hands. Real wages. Real change.

Why Handmade Costs More — And Means More

Every Rudhvay piece reflects:

  • Ethical wages & fair working hours
  • Traditional techniques like handloom weaving & block printing
  • Natural materials, conscious design, and small-batch production

You're not just buying a bag, kurti, or pair of chappals.
You're preserving legacy.
You're investing in time, skill, and dignity.

  • Steady income and sustainable livelihood

“Rudhvay gave me confidence I didn’t know I had.”
